Andrew Tate to Stand Trial in UK Over Alleged Abuse as Legal Troubles Span Multiple Countries

Controversial influencer Andrew Tate, known for his role in the “manosphere,” faces a trial in the United Kingdom—likely in 2027—after four women sued him for alleged physical and sexual abuse. Lawyers describe the case as unprecedented, marking another legal battle for Tate, whose criminal and civil investigations span three countries.

Reports from The Financial Times revealed that former U.S. President Donald Trump’s administration pressured Romanian officials to ease a travel ban imposed on Tate following his arrest. Despite this, Trump later claimed to know “nothing” about Tate’s arrival in Florida in February.

Tate has frequently praised Trump on social media, even comparing himself to the former president, citing their shared experiences of being accused of sex crimes and criticized for controversial past remarks.

Members of Trump’s inner circle, including his son Donald Trump Jr., have publicly supported Tate, with the younger Trump calling Tate’s detention in Romania “absolute insanity.”

In Romania, Tate and his brother, Tristan Tate, along with two Romanian women, were charged in 2023 with human trafficking, rape, and organized criminal activity. Prosecutors accused them of recruiting women and coercing them into producing pornographic content.

New allegations emerged last year suggesting minors were involved in the trafficking scheme. While the case was initially set for trial, a judge ruled in December that it did not meet trial standards and returned the indictment to prosecutors for further review.

Currently, the Tates are reportedly in Dubai, according to social media posts and multiple reports. A spokesperson told The Telegraph they were there for a “leisure visit” and would return to Romania within two months to comply with court orders. The brothers had previously traveled to the U.S. in late March before returning to Romania to report to authorities.

One woman claimed Tate pointed a gun at her and threatened, “You’re going to do as I say or there’ll be hell to pay.” Others accused him of death threats, rape, and choking, with two women reporting burst capillaries in their eyes from the alleged assaults.
