In October 2024, a judge ruled in favor of Jada Bell, issuing a default judgment against former NFL star Le’Veon Bell. The court determined that Bell had been properly served with legal documents but failed to respond or appear in court.
Two weeks ago, a jury awarded Jada a staggering $25 million verdict in the case. However, Bell is now speaking out, adamantly denying the allegations and vowing to fight to clear his name.
During a recent livestream that lasted over an hour, Bell addressed the accusations head-on. He passionately denied any wrongdoing, stating that he has never forced himself on anyone, let alone his cousin, Jada Bell.
Bell claimed he was unaware of the lawsuit filed in March 2024 until media outlets reached out to him for comment last week. He even suggested that the signature confirming he was served legal papers may have been forged.
Bell confirmed that Jada is indeed his cousin and revealed that he had financially supported her for years. However, their relationship soured when he stopped covering her rent and other expenses.
According to Bell, Jada didn’t take kindly to being cut off and allegedly sent him a text message saying, “We’re gonna see who the bad guy is.” He believes this led her to fabricate the serious allegations against him.
While Bell acknowledged that he can handle the backlash from critics online, he expressed concern for his family and fans who have been impacted by the lawsuit. As for the $25 million verdict, Bell defiantly stated that he would rather go homeless than pay a single cent.
Jada Bell’s allegations, however, paint a drastically different picture. She claims that the sexual abuse began when she was just six or seven years old and continued for nearly a decade, only ending when she turned 18.
She described the abuse as nonconsensual and incestuous, adding a deeply troubling layer to the case.
