Texas Rapper Shot Dead with Her 5-year-old Daughter at an Automotive Wash

Rapper G$ Lil Ronnie, also known as Ronnie Sibley, and his 5-year-old daughter, R’Mani, were tragically killed in a targeted shooting on Monday morning in Forest Hill, Texas. The incident occurred around 10:45 AM at a local car wash, where Ronnie and his daughter were inside their parked car as it was being cleaned.

According to police, two armed men exited a white four-door Kia, approached Ronnie’s vehicle, and opened fire, fatally shooting both him and his 5-year old daughter.

Disturbing videos shared on the social media platform X show the suspects chasing Ronnie around the car wash before he collapsed near a red car. Authorities are reviewing leaked surveillance footage as part of their investigation.

After the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicle. Police arrived shortly after and attempted lifesaving measures, but both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators have identified one of the shooters and issued a murder warrant for his arrest. While the motive remains under investigation, police confirmed the attack was deliberate and targeted.

Ronnie, who had a modest following as a rapper with around 40,000 monthly listeners on Spotify, was best known for his 2018 collaboration with Go Yayo titled “Hoodfame Killuminati.”

Forest Hill Police Chief David Hernandez announced in a news release that 21-year-old Jakobie Russell, who faces a capital murder charge, is now in custody.

Russell’s attorney facilitated his surrender, and he was arrested by U.S. Marshals without incident. He is expected to be transferred to the Tarrant County Jail. Efforts to reach Russell’s attorney for comment were unsuccessful.

Russell’s surrender followed the arrest of 24-year-old Adonis Robinson, who was taken into custody by Texas Rangers on Thursday evening in Livingston, Texas, approximately 75 miles northeast of Houston.

Chief Hernandez stated that extradition paperwork is being processed to bring Robinson to Tarrant County. Robinson, previously labeled “public enemy No. 1” by Hernandez during a press conference, also faces a murder charge. It remains unclear whether he has legal representation.

The arrests stem from a tragic incident on Monday, when 35-year-old Ronnie Sibley, a rapper known as G$ Lil Ronnie, and his 5-year-old daughter.

According to police, two Black men wearing blue jeans and gray sweaters exited a white four-door Kia and approached Ronnie’s car, which was parked in a bay at the car wash.

The suspects opened fire on Ronnie and his daughter before fleeing the scene. Both victims were pronounced dead at the location.

The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to the shooting.
