The royal family is emersed in the positive feeling of the approaching Christmas holidays releasing a pair of new Christmas cards to mark the season.
Prince William and Princess Kate shared a monochrome picture by Josh Shinner. Their 2023 Christmas photo card shows the Prince and Princess of Wales casually clad in white button-downs and jeans, matching their three kids: Prince George , and Prince Louis.
Meanwhile, King Charles III and Queen Camilla released their first official cards as King and Queen. The photo was taken by Hugo Burnard, the official photographer of the coronation of King Charles III and Queen Camilla ,in the Throne Room of Buckingham Palace following the coronation in May.
Their majesties are seen wearing the same clothing they wore after their coronation, including their robes of estate. King Charles III, , is wearing a purple silk velvet robe with gold embroidery originally worn by King George VI. Queen Camilla, is also wearing an original robe of estate designed by Bruce Oldfield.
Camilla is also seen in Queen Mary’s crown, while Charles is wearing the imperial state crown. Both cards were released on Saturday, a day after Princess Kate hosted the holiday special “Together at Christmas” in collaboration with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, at Westminster Abbey. The third annual Christmas concert featured the Westminster Abbey choir performing carols with singers such as, Adam Lambert ,Beverley Knight, Jacob Collier, James Bay and Freya Ridings. Kate’s program focused on early childhood development, as with Kate’s new awareness campaign, “Shaping Us”. This Christmas Kate’s awareness campaign will be aired on the British television network ITV .
