The music legend revealed exciting dual career developments during her Pollstar Hall of Fame induction on April 16, announcing both a deeply personal new album and additional tour dates. The 76-year-old Fleetwood Mac icon shared that she’s working on her first solo studio album since 2011’s In Your Dreams, dubbing the project “the ghost record.”
Nicks explained the album’s unexpected origins during her 92-day displacement from home due to Los Angeles wildfires earlier this year. “I was sitting in a hotel… and I thought, ‘You need to go back to work,'” she told the audience. The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer has already written seven “autobiographical, real stories” for the project, promising unusually candid lyrics about “fantastic men” from her past.
In tandem with the recording news, Nicks announced nine additional 2025 tour stops to her already extensive North American schedule. The expanded itinerary builds on previously announced shows with Billy Joel at major venues including New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium (August 8), California’s Levi’s Stadium (October 4), New Orleans’ Caesars Superdome (October 18), and Detroit’s Ford Field (November 15).
The dual revelations come as Nicks enjoys renewed cultural relevance, with her music experiencing a streaming renaissance among younger listeners. Her last solo tour in 2022-2023 grossed over $120 million, proving the enduring demand for the “Rhiannon” singer’s mystical stage presence five decades into her career.
