Porsha Willaims has finally come out about her husband Simon Guobadia who was being held at Stewart Detention Center in Georgia after being taken into custody by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) amidst their divorce proceedings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Simon came to the United States in 1982 but was declared deportable in 1985 after overstaying his visa. He has been arrested multiple times, pleaded guilty to bank and credit card fraud in 1987, and was even deported and physically removed from the country in 1992.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The 59-year-old man has built his fortune since 2007 as the founder of Simcol Petroleum Limited Company, which distributes refined fuels in the southeastern US.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Previously, he worked as a CPA before becoming an entrepreneur. However, court records reveal that Simon’s attempts to obtain American citizenship were repeatedly denied due to his history of credit card fraud and identity theft convictions, stemming from his involvement in Nigerian scams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following his initial deportation, Simon Guobadia surprisingly obtained permanent residency under a different identity, but his attempts at becoming a naturalized citizen were unsuccessful. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
His recent ICE detention has prompted a response from Porsha,<\/strong> Taking to social media, the Real Housewives of Atlanta star expressed disappointment in Simon’s choices, stating that her priority is moving forward with her family she also expressed how disappointed she was and vowed to prioritize her family’s well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Guobadia’s personal life has been marred by a messy divorce and a recent lawsuit against his estranged wife, Porsha Williams. The lawsuit stems from her social media comments about his erectile dysfunction, filed after she initiated divorce proceedings in February 2024, just over a year into their marriage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n In a November 2022 lawsuit, Simon Guobadia accused Porsha Williams of making defamatory comments about his genitalia through a series of Instagram posts. Although Porsha didn’t mention any names, she had reposted several stories about overcoming erectile dysfunction four months prior, adding only a “#menshealthawareness” hashtag. In response, Porsha’s lawyer argued that there was no evidence linking the posts to Simon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
