On Friday, Cori Broadus, the 25-year-old daughter of legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, took to Instagram to announce the arrival of her first child with fiancé Wayne Deuce.

In an emotional post, Broadus revealed that their baby girl was born prematurely at just 25 weeks, weighing in at six months gestation.

“Our little princess arrived earlier than expected,” Broadus captioned a touching black-and-white photo of her newborn’s tiny foot.

“I’ve cried and cried, comparing and blaming myself, wondering why I couldn’t give her everything she needed. But through it all, God has shown me that He’s got us covered.”

She continued, “Our baby girl came at 25 weeks today, and she’s perfect! Thank You, God, for carrying us this far,” adding hashtags like #nicubaby and #25weeks to highlight the challenges of having a premature newborn in the neonatal intensive care unit.

Broadus later shared more intimate details on her Instagram Stories, disclosing that she underwent an emergency cesarean section.

Alongside a photo of herself on an operating table, she wrote, “First C-section was a success. Shoutout to the man upstairs for watching over us.”

In a subsequent post, Broadus opened up about the unexpected health scare that led to her early delivery. “I went to the doctor thinking I just had severe gas pains, but it turned out I was developing HELLP Syndrome,” she explained. HELLP Syndrome, a rare and life-threatening pregnancy complication related to preeclampsia, affects the liver and blood and can be fatal if left untreated.

The acronym stands for Hemolysis, Elevated Liver enzymes, and Low Platelet count.

Broadus emphasized the severity of her condition, writing, “The doctors told me, ‘Thank you for coming in when you did. If you had waited a few more days, it could have been catastrophic.’” She concluded her post with a heartfelt message to other women: “Ladies, please listen to your bodies.

Don’t rely on TikTok for medical advice—trust me, I’m speaking to myself too.”

The news of the baby’s arrival sparked an outpouring of love and support from Broadus’ family. Her mother, Shante Broadus, commented on the post, affectionately writing, “My Berri,” while Snoop Dogg reshared the announcement on his Instagram Stories, celebrating the arrival of his newest grandchild.

Cori Broadus is the youngest of Snoop and Shante’s three children, joining brothers Corde, 30, and Cordell, 28. Snoop is also a father to Julian, 26, from a previous relationship. With the birth of Cori’s daughter, Snoop Dogg has now become a grandfather for the eighth time.

Snoop’s son Cordell is the father of three grandchildren—Cordoba, 5, Chateau, 3, and Symphony, who is nearly two. Meanwhile, Corde is a father to four children: Zion, 10, Elleven, 6, Sky, 4, and Kai, who tragically passed away at just 10 days old in 2019.
