Kyle Richards finally addressed her decision to keep her friendship with musician Morgan Wade out of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 14 during Part 1 of the reunion, which aired April 1. Pushed by co-star Garcelle Beauvais about not showing “what’s really going on” in her personal life, Kyle stood firm in protecting Morgan’s privacy.
“Morgan did not sign up for this show,” Kyle stated emphatically. “She does not want to be part of it. She’s not a part of the cast.” When Garcelle countered that Morgan had appeared in Season 13, Kyle clarified that those appearances were done as a personal favor—one that ultimately backfired. “What ensued after that created a lot of anxiety for her, and she didn’t ask for this life,” Kyle explained. “So, I’m trying to be respectful of somebody who didn’t sign up for it.”
Garcelle challenged Kyle’s stance, pointing to their reality TV obligation to address real-life events—especially when they make headlines. Referencing paparazzi photos of Kyle backstage at Morgan’s concert shortly after Mauricio Umansky was seen kissing another woman, Garcelle argued, “We’re just supposed to pretend that’s not happening? Is that reality?” She added, “I just felt like we would be hypocrites—let me just say me—if all this stuff is happening out there, and we don’t address it.”
Kyle, however, maintained her position, emphasizing that Morgan never agreed to be part of the show’s narrative. “That’s not her place. She didn’t sign the contract to be here. I did,” Kyle fired back, drawing a clear line between her own reality TV responsibilities and Morgan’s right to privacy. The tense exchange highlighted the ongoing balancing act between authenticity and personal boundaries—one that continues to fuel drama as the reunion unfolds.
