Chris Hemsworth Regrets Taking a Selfie With Billie Eilish at the Oscars

“I went from a Colleague to now like a Fan”, Chris Hemsworth said.

The “Thor” actor revealed during an appearance on “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that he now humorously regrets snapping a photo with Billie Eilish at the 2024 Academy Awards.

Hemsworth, 41, explained that while he initially wanted the picture for his children, the moment accidentally turned him from a fellow industry professional into just another fan in the nine-time Grammy winner’s eyes.

“I got a photograph with Billie Eilish at the Oscars and I remember thinking, ‘Ah, don’t do it,'” Hemsworth told Colbert. “The moment I took it, I was like, ‘I went from work colleague to now like a fan.’ We will never be friends, never be best friends.”

The playful comment came during the show’s “Colbert Questionert” segment, where the actor admitted he and Eilish – who won Best Original Song that night for “What Was I Made For?” – had never worked together but moved in similar circles.

The Australian star, who attended the ceremony with wife Elsa Pataky, also confessed to breaking the Met Gala’s no-phone policy weeks later, taking numerous celebrity selfies he later couldn’t remember capturing.

Hemsworth, who relocated his family from Hollywood to Australia in 2015, said major award shows still excite him because they offer rare chances to mingle with so many stars at once.
