Gal Gadot’s Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony Marred by Protests and Vandalism Claims

Gal Gadot’s induction into the Hollywood Walk of Fame this week was anything but smooth. The Wonder Woman actress, who is set to star as the Evil Queen in Disney’s upcoming live-action Snow White remake, faced protests and backlash during her ceremony due to her pro-Israel stance on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

The event, held on Tuesday, saw Gadot being celebrated by colleagues such as Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins and Fast & Furious co-star Vin Diesel. However, outside the tented ceremony area, tensions flared as dozens of pro-Palestine protestors gathered to voice their opposition.

According to Variety, a contingent of Israel supporters also showed up to defend Gadot, leading to a heated exchange. At one point, a protestor snatched a flag from the opposing side and ran down the street, prompting police intervention. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Adding to the controversy, a viral post on X (formerly Twitter) has sparked speculation about the vandalism of Gadot’s newly unveiled Hollywood star. Shared by a parody account named @jaguars_lauregu, the post features two photos of a smashed Hollywood star with a mattock lying nearby.

The caption, “Too late,” references a quote from Gadot’s ceremony speech: “I’m just a girl from a town in Israel. […] This star will remind me that with hard work and passion and some faith, anything is possible.”

The post has garnered nearly 600,000 likes and over 38,000 reposts, but its authenticity remains unverified. At the time of writing, it is unclear whether the vandalized star belongs to Gadot or if the images are staged.

Gadot, a former Miss Israel and IDF soldier has long been a polarizing figure due to her vocal support for Israel. Her involvement in the Israel-Palestine debate has drawn both criticism and admiration, making her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony a flashpoint for broader geopolitical tensions.
