After the fatal shooting of rapper MO3 (real name Melvin Noble) on November 11, 2020, authorities identified Kewon White as the suspect.
According to police reports, White exited his dark sedan armed with a firearm and chased MO3, who had fled his stationary vehicle on a Dallas highway.
White fired multiple shots, striking MO3, who later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital. Tragically, an innocent bystander in a separate car was also injured but sustained non-life-threatening wounds.
White was arrested a month after the shooting and is currently serving a nine-year prison sentence for firearm charges related to the incident. However, the case took a new turn when rapper Yella Beezy (born Markies Conway) was arrested on Thursday and charged with felony murder.
A grand jury indicted Beezy, alleging that he “intentionally and knowingly” orchestrated MO3’s death by hiring White to carry out the killing in exchange for payment.
Beezy, 33, best known for his hit “That’s On Me,” was taken into custody and booked into the Dallas County Jail. The indictment accuses him of “capital murder while remuneration,” claiming he paid White to kill MO3.
This development sheds new light on the 2020 shooting, revealing a deeper layer of involvement in the tragic death of the 28-year-old rapper.
