Kim Kardashian reportedly requested an emergency custody hearing after discovering that Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were expected to join Kanye West during his visit with their daughter, North West. According to TMZ, Kardashian abruptly cut short North’s visit with West last week after being informed by security that the Tate brothers were on their way to the meeting location. Andrew and Tristan, who recently returned to the U.S. after facing sex crime allegations in the U.K. and U.S., have not been convicted and deny the charges.
The custody dispute arose amid ongoing tensions between Kardashian and West. On Friday, March 14, the former couple met with their attorneys and a mediator to discuss custody arrangements. The meeting also addressed North’s appearance on West’s single “LONELY ROADS STILL GO TO SUNSHINE,” which features Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs is currently detained in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation for prostitution.
West, who has a history of making antisemitic remarks, has recently posted numerous antisemitic and homophobic statements on his X account. On March 19, he accused Kardashian and her family of sex trafficking children, referencing North’s involvement in an FKA Twigs song and TikTok video. Earlier in the week, West made offensive comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s 7½-year-old twins, Rumi and Sir, questioning their mental capacity.
In response, Tina Knowles, Beyoncé’s mother, seemingly addressed West’s remarks in a since-edited social media post, writing, “It’s hard to remain positive and classy in the face of ignorance and evil. But I know that no weapon formed against me or my family shall prosper.”
Kardashian and West, who divorced in 2022 after eight years of marriage, share four children: North, 10, Saint, 9, Chicago, 7, and Psalm, 5. The ongoing custody battle highlights the complexities of their co-parenting relationship amid West’s controversial behavior and public statements.
