While Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs fell short of a fourth Super Bowl victory last month, the tight end and his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, had plenty to celebrate at Monday’s iHeart Radio Music Awards.
Swift dominated the night, taking home eight awards, including some of the ceremony’s most prestigious honors.
Swift’s wins included Artist of the Year, Best Lyrics for “Fortnight,” Best Music Video for “Fortnight,” Pop Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, Favorite Tour Tradition (surprise songs), Favorite Tour Style (The Eras Tour), and Favorite On Screen.
The crowning achievement of the night was her Tour of the Century award for the record-breaking Eras Tour, which became the first tour in history to gross over $2 billion.
In her acceptance speech, Swift reflected on the challenges of the tour, calling it “the most challenging thing I’ve ever done in my life.” She added, “People often say that sometimes the greatest challenges in life end up being something that you are so proud of or end up being the most gratifying feeling in the end if you can rise to the occasion.”
While Swift’s individual accolades were undoubtedly the highlight of her night, she and Kelce also had a reason to celebrate together.
The couple won the award for Favorite Surprise Guest, recognizing Kelce’s memorable appearance on stage during Swift’s Eras Tour show at London’s Wembley Stadium.
iHeart Radio celebrated the moment on X, writing, “From the football field to the Eras Tour stage—Travis Kelce’s cameo was a touchdown! Congrats to @taylorswift13 for winning Favorite Surprise Guest for bringing out Travis Kelce! #iHeartAwards2025.”
The iHeart Radio wins provided a much-needed boost for fans of the couple, who have had little to cheer about since the Chiefs’ disappointing 40-22 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LIX. During the game, Swift was booed after being shown on the Jumbotron, and Kelce had a quiet performance, finishing with just four catches for 39 yards.
Fans took to social media to celebrate the couple’s shared victory, with many expressing excitement over their first joint award.
“The fact this is the first award they won TOGETHER makes me sooooo with emojis,” one fan wrote.
“We all remember where we were #iHeartAwards,” another added.
“The way they BROKE the internet that day,” a third fan replied.
“Blessed to have been there to witness it in real time #iHeartAwards,” one user remarked.
While the Super Bowl loss was a setback, Swift and Kelce’s iHeart Radio success proves that their star power extends far beyond the football field and concert stage.
