Tiantian Kullander, co-founder of Hong Kong-based digital asset business Amber Group, died on November 23 at age 30. The young crypto founder’s abrupt death stunned the financial markets.

The statement said Kullander, known as “TT,” “unexpectedly” died in his sleep. No additional details were given. Tiantian Kullander died abruptly in his sleep on November 23, 2022. The statement called him “a cornerstone of Amber’s success”

“He poured his heart and soul into the company’s success.” Intelligence, generosity, humility, dedication, and inventiveness were his guiding principles.

“TT was a thinking leader and industry pioneer. His skills, eagerness to cooperate, and drive to assist others helped many start-ups and people, it said.

Amber is worth $3bn following a $200m investment round. He founded the startup in 2017 with ex-Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley employees. Amber Group reportedly wanted to raise $100m this month.

Over 300 people work in Hong Kong, Taipei, Seoul, and Vancouver. Amber Group’s founders wanted to use machine learning to quantitative trading in 2017, but switched to crypto in 2019 as trade volumes surged.

As a trader, Kullander made Forbes 30 Under 30. Amber Group: “We lost a fantastic partner and a genuine friend in TT.” “TT’s legacy will continue on, and we’ll strive even harder to make Amber the industry leader, as was TT’s desire.
Kullander is survived by his wife and kid.
