After years of fans begging to know her lip combo secrets, Grammy-winning artist SZA has finally answered the call. The 35-year-old singer announced the launch of her new beauty brand, Not Beauty, debuting with a line of high-performance lip glosses designed to withstand her grueling tour schedule.
The inaugural product—a $23 hydrating lip gloss—comes in three nature-inspired shades: In the Flesh, Strawberry Jelly, and Quartz. According to the brand, the formula delivers long-lasting shine without stickiness while keeping lips moisturized through even the longest concerts, dates, or conversations.
“I don’t know much about much, but I know a lot about lips,” SZA said in a statement. “Not Beauty wasn’t about me trying to enter the beauty market—it’s about me filling a need.”
The packaging reflects SZA’s earthy aesthetic, featuring organic textures and bold hues drawn from wood grains, plants, and insects. True to the singer’s values, the gloss meets Sephora’s clean beauty standards as a vegan, cruelty-free, and gluten-free product.
Fans got their first look when SZA posted the announcement on Instagram, writing: “YALL ASKED FOR THE LIP COMBO AND ITS FINALLY HERE!!!”
The gloss will initially be available exclusively at pop-up shops during SZA’s Grand National Tour, starting April 19 in major U.S. cities. While not yet available online, the brand’s website is accepting email signups for future updates.
