The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills alums celebrated friendship and survival with symbolic ink during an emotional pajama party.
Teddi Mellencamp, 43, and Kyle Richards, 56, honored their close friend Jennifer Turner Leipart’s birthday on April 10 by getting matching tattooed matches with flames—a tribute to their unbreakable bond.
Richards shared the intimate moment on Instagram, captioning the slideshow: “A perfect match! YOLO 😜” The trio wore coordinating blue satin PJs as L.A. tattoo artist @wyldwess etched the designs, with Richards adding, “We love our new tattoos!”
The celebration carried profound meaning for Mellencamp, who revealed in April that her stage 2 melanoma (diagnosed in 2022) has progressed to stage 4 with metastases in her brain and lungs. “I thought I’d beaten it… then found out I had four more tumors,” she recently shared.
The accountability coach credits Richards with saving her life after noticing suspicious moles during a 2022 run. “If she hadn’t forced me to that appointment, I don’t know if I’d be here,” Mellencamp confessed at October’s Melanoma Research Foundation gala.
Though no longer a RHOBH regular (she confirmed her season 14 absence to PEOPLE), Mellencamp remains focused on advocacy—using her platform to promote skin checks. As their fresh tattoos prove, some friendships burn brighter through life’s toughest battles.
